  • Mushroom ragout

  • Dove chocolates (couldn’t resist)

Week 5 Summary

Thanksgiving week.  I didn’t keep my goals, which wasn’t unexpected, especially due to the traveling.  But I didn’t do horrible.

Week 6 Day 1 Food



I weighed 165# today. No weight gain over the Thanksgiving holiday. J

Breakfast:

  • VMHC

Lunch:

  • Leftover chile relleno, rice, beans
  • Dr. P
  • Choc. Chip cookies

Dinner:

  • Pasta with tomato sauce and meatballs
  • Peas
  • Milk

We walked the usual route.

Week 5 Day 7 Food

Breakfast:

  • Nothing

Lunch (Mimi’s):

  • Veggie stack sandwich
  • Cole slaw
  • Part of a bran muffin

Dinner:

  • Big salad (greens, pomegranate, tangerine, apple, onion, olives, vinaigrette)
  • Bread
  • Milk

Week 5 Day 6 Food

Breakfast (Hidden City Café in Point Richmond)

  • Scramble with cheese and potatoes
  • Hot chocolate

Lunch:

  • OJ in the airport

Dinner:

  • Chile relleno
  • Rice
  • Beans
  • Dr. P

Week 5 Day 5 Food

Breakfast:

  • Nothing

Lunch (“Taste” in Berkeley):

  • Salami/mustard appetizer
  • Prosciutto/olive tapenade appetizer
  • Bread
  • Salmon in lemongrass beurre noir sauce
  • Niman beef/fontina/black pepper aioli/roasted tomatoes/onions/crimini (the best burger I’ve ever had)
  • Blood orange sorbet/cinnamon gelato

Dinner (“Cugini” in Albany):

  • Olives
  • Bread
  • Caesar salad
  • Cheese ravioli with creamy pesto

Later that night:

  • Spiced hot apple cider

 

We walked in Tilden Park during the afternoon.

Week 5 Day 4 Food



Breakfast/Lunch (Nation’s – where else can you get breakfast, cheeseburgers, and pie J):

  • Cheese omelet
  • Toast
  • Hash browns
  • OJ

Dinner (Thanksgiving):

  • Turkey
  • Stuffing
  • Green beans
  • Cheese/crackers
  • Roll
  • Cranberry sauce
  • Potatoes/gravy
  • Fudge
  • Nuts
  • Chocolate pie
  • sparkling pomegranate juice

We didn’t walk.

Week 5 Day 3 Food

Breakfast:

  • VMHC

Lunch (nothing much at home to eat, so I decided to go to Red Butte):

  • Salmon special (awesome as usual).  Prosciutto-wrapped (I’m bad) with polenta veggies, and I think red pepper sauce.
  • Bread
  • Coke

Dinner:

  • Veggie Burger at Squatter’s in the airport
  • Potato chips
  • Dr. P

 

We didn’t walk due to the traveling.
