The holidays are still messing me up, so not a great week.
Scorecard:
Meat: 2
Poultry: 1
Walking: 3 (plus a day of skiing, that I’m sore from, which is a good sign. J)
I think I’ll be able to get back on track this week, though.
In an effort to try and be healthier and lower my cholesterol, I decided to try to cut back on meat. I didn't want to go vegetarian (because I like meat), and I didn't want to get all strict about it. So I decided to try to limit myself to some extent, but stay flexible if necessary. Turns out, there's a name for that: flexitarian. So I decided that in my version, I would try to eat poultry and meat only once each every week. This blog is for me to track my progress.

Not a stellar week. The holidays make this more difficult, and make me more tired, so I didn’t walk as much. Being at the mall wasn’t so bad; I was able to eat a veggie burrito. The potlucks are what kill me. If all the soup has ham in it, what am I going to do?

Not a super week this week. The holidays are taking their toll on my goals, unfortunately. Out of convenience while shopping, and from laziness and mistakes with my salad order, I ended up eating chicken twice (although not a ton of it in my salad), and I only walked 3 times (does skiing count? J).
The scorecard this week:
Meat: 1
Poultry: 2
Walking: 3
The good news is that my blood pressure at one of those grocery store kiosks was lower than I can ever remember: 101/69.
